MPASS was featured and was among the official sponsors in a series of events that took place in July 2014, namely the Mobile Marketing Conference, the 360° Data Forum and the E-Commerce Panorama, organized by Marketing Week and Netweek.
In the Mobile Marketing Conference MPASS’s Marketing and Business Development manager, Katerina Koutsaftiki, presented to the attendees the Omnichannel Campaign Management Solution which is the first end-to-end digital campaign management service in Greece.
In the aforementioned presentation, the key features of the solution as an enabler for building a winning Omnichannel digital strategy were discussed, as well as the case study of my AB touch point, a service that is the outcome of MPASS’s collaboration with Alpha-Beta Vassilopoulos, a leading player of Greek food retailing market with an operating network of over 240 branches countrywide and a member of the Delhaize group. MPASS has customized the Omnichannel Campaign Management Solution according to Alpha-Beta’s functional requirements in order to launch targeted and result-driven omnichannel campaigns for the brand.
MPASS’s presentation at the E-Commerce Panorama was entitled ‘From e-shops and m-shops to tv-shops. A new opportunity for retailers and brands’ and focused on the commercial opportunities and advanced capabilities that businesses and in particular e-shops, can exploit through SmartTV, an emerging, user-engaging, alternative communication channel. The presentation also included the successful cases of several SmartTV projects that have been deployed by MPASS, including the awarded pameodeon service, the first VoD service in Greece. On behalf of readyforbaby.gr, Olga Labutina, Marketing Director & Co-Founder of H&H-Hellenic Heritage, presented the features and functionalities of the ‘Ready for Baby’ e-shop which was developed and supported by MPASS.
Participants of the Mobile Marketing Conference and the 360° Data Forum could also visit MPASS’s booth where an info-kiosk of the ‘my AB touch point’ was exhibited and they were given an interactive demonstration of its features and capabilities. As for MPASS’s booth at the E-Commerce Panorama, it featured a demonstration of various SmartTV applications, including tv-shops, VoD and portals, offering the visitors the opportunity to experience the usability and options as well as to interact with some of MPASS’s SmartTV applications.

Our website implements the ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) technique, alongside various different behavioral changes, to ensure blind users visiting with screen-readers are able to read, comprehend, and enjoy the website’s functions. As soon as a user with a screen-reader enters your site, they immediately receive a prompt to enter the Screen-Reader Profile so they can browse and operate your site effectively. Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described. Keyboard navigation optimization: The background process also adjusts the website’s HTML, and adds various behaviors using JavaScript code to make the website operable by the keyboard. This includes the ability to navigate the website using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys, operate dropdowns with the arrow keys, close them with Esc, trigger buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio and checkbox elements using the arrow keys, and fill them in with the Spacebar or Enter key.Additionally, keyboard users will find quick-navigation and content-skip menus, available at any time by clicking Alt+1, or as the first elements of the site while navigating with the keyboard. The background process also handles triggered popups by moving the keyboard focus towards them as soon as they appear, and not allow the focus drift outside it.
Users can also use shortcuts such as “M” (menus), “H” (headings), “F” (forms), “B” (buttons), and “G” (graphics) to jump to specific elements.
