From 9th till 11th of September, Costa Navarino hosted for a fourth year in a row, “Navarino Challenge” 2016, gathering people from all over the world who participated to the semi-marathon, 10km and 5km running in the beautiful landscape of Messinia.“Navarino Challenge”, organised by Active Media, is a multiple award-winning, non-competitive sports tourism event that aims to raise awareness about the benefits of healthy living, exercise and the Mediterranean diet.
This year, MPASS participated in this big event by envisioning and developing “Navarino Challenge” Timekeeper Chatbot in cooperation with the company All About Running. It is the first Chatbot globally, which has been created for the purpose of assisting runners and supporting a sports’ event. “Timekeeper” chatbot gave runners the chance to get their official running time on their Facebook Messenger, by having typed their BIB number, right after getting passed at the finish line! Also, the chatbot was providing all “Navarino Challenge” participants with a 24hrs exclusive service throughout the event by replying to questions regarding event’s activities’ time scheduling, location, parallel events, etc, within few seconds of their enquiry.
With this new service, Active Media with MPASS and All About Running, brought together the classical experience of “Navarino Challenge” with the most cutting-edge innovation of Timekeeper chatbot for providing a 1st class experience to hundreds of participants from all over the world.
